SPR was sub-contracted to assist RM Consulting Group Pty with the development of the Central Victorian Greenhouse Alliance (CVGA) Clean Economy Workforce Development Strategy for the Loddon-Mallee region. The project responded to escalating climate and environmental risks, net zero policy commitments, shifting trade and investment expectations, and the region’s strong renewable energy resource base. SPR’s role was to help define the Loddon-Mallee clean economy sector, assess the skills and strengths in delivering net zero (both current and gaps), and identify opportunities for sector growth, workforce development, and innovation. This work informed a practical regional workforce strategy to guide local governments, agencies, industries, and peak bodies through the transition to a clean economy.
