SPR was commissions to deliver the ACT’s greenhouse gas inventory for the 2024-25 inventory year, including a redesign of the methodology for quantifying commercial and residential refrigerant emissions. We also undertook a broader review and strengthening of inventory methods across all sectors, restated historical data where required, and prepared the complete 2024–25 ACT Greenhouse Gas Inventory and associated analysis. The result is a more accurate and coherent inventory that aligns with national and international best practice.
The quality of the revised methodology and the robustness of the subsequent inventory and analysis have been recognised by the ACT Government,who extended SPR’s engagement for a further two inventory years (2025-26 and2026-27).
